Hello- I am looking at a business located in N. Nashville. Can anyone give me information about the area? Schools, crime, house prices etc. Thanks!

You'll have to be more precise about the location. Some parts of north Nashville are just fine, some are bad . . . and a couple of locations are very bad.

go to the nashville police website, they have an interactive crime map which shows locations and types of crimes.

It is located in Henderson. I will look up the crime info - can you tell me about schools and what it is like in that area. We could commute if there is a better town nearby but wouldn't want it to be more than 20-30 min. Thanks again!

Henderson? Is that a street? I know it's not Henderson Drive; that's out in Bellevue. Or did you mean Hendersonville? If we're talking about Hendersonville, we need to backtrack.

The north Nashville area could be fine for a business. I don't want to offend anyone here who lives in North Nashville, but it is not a particularly good area overall for schools and housing.

I'm sorry - it is Hendersonville. Would it be included in your previous comments about housing and schools?

Oops. We do have to backtrack. Hendersonville is completely different than north Nashville. In fact . . . it's in another county. Hendersonville is "north" of Nashville.

Sorry again! The info about the business said N. Nashville. I guess it's about 20 min from Nashville. So what do you think of this area?

Hendersonville is a nice town. It's grown on much in the past twenty years that I barely recognize it. There's a couple of people on the forum here who live in Hendersonville (there has been some posts in the past concerning Hendersonville; you might do a search for those).

The schools are good from what I hear. Should be a good place for the right kind of business. It's still a growing community. And it's next door to Old Hickory Lake. A few country music stars live in the area. Johnny Cash used to live there.

Now the bad news . . . there is some concern about a dam up river from Nashville. You can find posts on here about Wolf Creek Dam. If something were to happen, it would affect Hendersonville. We're have several discussions about this; I'm not sure I can add any more than I've already posted.
