Is anyone familiar with any of the pumpkin patches in the area?

I'm not looking for anything too big. My little one is just a few months, so we're mainly just going for a photo opp and to bring home a pumpkin.

Gentry Farm. It is on 96 just west of downtown Franklin. I'm not sure about the hours.

I went out to Gentry Farms recently. Nice place. However, you will only be able to get pre-picked pumpkins here this year, as all the rain has rotted all the pumpkins lying on the ground.

When I was a kid we always went to Earl's Fruit Stand, or Earl's Pumpkin Patch.......it had a pumpkin walkthrough, a fake CGI witch that scared the crap out of me, and farm animals.....it was FUN!!!

I wonder if it still exists?

I'm sorry to say that Earl's is no longer there. He died eight or nine years ago. One of his daughters continued the business for several years, but it finally closed and has been torn down. Only a concrete slab remains and a sign that says "Future Home of Dotson's Restaurant".

Visiting Earl's and taking pictures of the kids with the giant pumpkin was a Halloween tradition in our family.

this site is AWESOME! it doesnt look the best, but as long as you give it a chance, it is SO helpful. It lists all the pumpkin patches (and more) by county. Just choose your state and then scroll down to your county. The info is also kept up-to-date and gives numbers, websites, etc. I highly recommend it. I am coming up to smyrna this weekend and used it to find the pumpkin patch we are taking our son to.
