Getting married this year, so we are looking for a house/townhouse....

I work in downtown Nashville, and I currently live downtown. My soon to be wife, works in murfreesboro, so we were looking for a place that will be half way for both of us. We thought about nippers corner, brentwood area. Anyone have any comments on how safe nippers corner is? Any other suggestions on where to live, we are looking for a small house to rent or townhome. Any suggestions is much appreciated!!!!

Thanks

Inbetween would be Smyrna where you will find affordability and also good schools if you need that.

I agree with Diane.....Smyrna would be a great choice. I live there, and can be downtown in 20 minutes. (Give or take...). While I have no kids, I have heard good things about the schools.

I'd also look into the Nolensville area...several places between Nolensville Rd. and I-24. Or depending on where you end up, you could take 65 into town.

Lavergne is also there, although it's a bit more industrial. I've heard Smyrna is a great place for families.

I would vote for Nolensville. It gives you easier access to 65 or 24 to get into Nashville and is still close to Murfreesboro. Also, the schools there, at least on the Williamson County side are a lot better than Smyrna. While there's lots of new development, there are some older homes in the middle that are probably the size you're looking for.

Actually 2 of Smyrnas schools are # 2 in the state.....the middle and elementary.
