Coming from the Sierras, I generally laugh at winter weather warnings here, but not today. The roads are SO slick that stopping without sliding is nearly impossible, even at extremely low speed. Too many accidents to make any more trips. From Nashville to Franklin, I saw over 10 cars smashed and off the road.

Be careful, CDers!

If you MUST be out there, please remember to give yourself more than ample distance from the car in front of you. Give yourself enough room to slide, because it WILL happen.

So glad I didnt' have to work today. I'm 2 hours from work, so I never would have made it in my little Miata. I'd be stuck spending the night at work again. This time I'm sitting at home enjoying it though. I like it this way much better!!!

Glad I'm home now too. My husband just got home, my son has friends over and my daughter is baking. Does it get any better?

Yes, some of the streets are pretty nasty here in Murfreesboro, too. I didn't experience any slipping until I got into my neighborhood, though.

My son made it to work in Murfreesboro. His shift is 12-9. He won't stat until 9 even though he is a few blocks away. Icy roads at night are not a good thing.
My daughter was supposed to help out at a Charity fashion show at the factory tonight. She called them and told them the ride from Murfreesboro to Franklin was not a good idea. She really wanted to go! I'm not sure all the quests will make it.
I have a Vacation Cruise Show to work tomorrow at the Cool Springs Marriott. I have to be there at 8:45, but show begins at 10am. We finally were able to get my husbands car out, so he will drive me there.
There will be free prizes and seminars at the show.

My husband drove back up here from Memphis yesterday, it took him 5 hours.

However, it took me one hour to get down Carothers from Moore's Lane to Liberty Pike!

I spent over an hour just on Royal Oaks.
