Does anyone have any info on Pleasant View and the surrounding areas? My husband recently bought land there and I haven't been able to visit yet. I know that it's a small town out of the city, and that's about it. Being from small town Wisconsin and currently living in S. Florida, the country feel will be welcome, I am just curious if anyone has any comments (good, bad or indifferent). We plan to build as soon as our house in Florida sells or next spring, whichever comes first and I am just anxious to learn some things about the area.

I have driven through TN many times and made a few stops along the way, and from all I have seen, the majority of the state is really beautiful but I would really love to get some input on this area specifically.

HI Tutle,

I was actually raised in Joelton, which is a small unincorporated town close to Pleasant View. Pleasant View is split between Cheatham County and Robertson County. I don't know which end your husband's property is located in. My sister lives in Robertson County now. I think of Pleasant View not as a city but more of a community. I would described it as a "farm town" or "country town" (not meaning anything negative at all by that either!) There are many resident there that have lived in Pleasant View their entire life (as well as their mother, their grandmother, and their mother before them.) Lots of heritage and roots in that area. Shopping and city convenience will be a little drive for you. However, depending on which area you bought in, you can be in Nashville, Clarksville, or Springfield fairly quickly. You won't have the hustle and bustle of the city and will probably enjoy the laid back lifestyle there. That's not a lot of information, but maybe it will help a little!
