I'm thinking about moving from west Tennessee to someplace closer to Nashville. White House, Smryna, Murfreesboro, Franklin, or maybe someplace west of Nashville on I-40. I'm not too picky about the area but I want to be 1)about an hour more or less from Nashville and 2)somewhere out in the country with a low cost of living.

I know nothing about middle TN as I've lived in west TN all my life. Any advice would be appreciated!

Clarksville-Dickson are a couple of places. Do you own your home or rent. Check the areas out

There are quite a few options, but we need a few more specifics about the kind of home you'd want and the amenities you'd want in your community. Do you have kids? Retirement age? Do you need access to health care? Airport? Shopping? Interstate? Water for recreation? That kind of stuff.

No kids yet but we plan on having some soon. Local schools don't matter because we are homeschooling. My wife is a nurse so I don't think she will have any trouble finding a job. I'd like to be within 15 - 20 minutes of a town of 20,000 or more.

What I'm really looking for is a place with 30 - 50 acres for hunting and where property values aren't too high. I'm looking at any place within an hour or so of Nashville in any direction. I am partial to White House, Dickson, and maybe McEwen though I don't know much about those areas.

It'll be awhile until we move too, we aren't ready to buy now. We're just checking out prices on land.

Other than that we don't require much.

You might try looking in Hickman County, where Centerville is. I think I read somewhere that it is one of the top rated deer hunting areas in the country, and it is much cheaper than some of the other counties.
