Anyone know anything about Asurion as an employer? My bro-in-law is in a job search, and they always seem to be hiring. Just looking for honest feedback from anyone who knows.

A friend of mine has worked there for almost two years. He seems to like it. He says it's always very busy; but it's kept him employed through the recession.

I know a few people employed at Asurion and they are all very satisfied. During last year's downturn, Asurion was doing better than ever and employees received raises and bonus checks while most other places froze salaries or laid off staff.

We sell some product to Asurion. Their main business (insurance plans for cell phones) is rising. I think they are a relatively stable company at this stage.

My cousin's husband works for them (he worked for Nortel before they folded)... and he says they're very well managed and growing very fast. Sounds like a very good employer. They also play a very visible role in the Nashville area for charities and supporting the sports teams.

If you can handle call center work, I would imagine that Asurion is a better choice than Dell or VZW. I have never dealt with them personally in any capacity, but like previous posters have mentioned, they have a reputation around Nashville for treating their employees well, which is rare in that kind of workplace.
