Well, let's see...from Northern NY, we're about 1700 miles, so from your spot in Canada....... Well, let's just say you might want to bring a few sandwiches with you.

Back to topic....I saw the cutest little baby gecko in our garden this afternoon. So sweet; he was so tiny!

Yes, they are leaving but there are still some geese huddled on the lake and river. If I had a chance to fly south every fall, I would be long gone.

Have a pleasant Thanksgiving, all.

Travel safely and watch out for the other guy.

And if you spot some interesting birds, animals, plants etc on your holiday, be sure to share....

Deer are such beautiful, regal creatures!

In our living room we have a tall, narrow window that faces the orchard. I never put curtains on it, just a valance so as to not obstruct the view.

Last winter, I walked into the room only to find a beautiful buck staring at me thru the glass and no camera in reach.

We call it our critter window, not only can we observe the deer, elk, cattle and turkeys we can also watch the occasional snake try and slither up the glass. I had no idea they could do that.

Take care on those morning drives!
