There's an opossum on my deck right now. He's super-cute as far as opossums go. He's more fluffy and white than others I've seen. And he has the cutest little pink schnozz. He is holding onto the plate of sunflower seeds that I have out there like a little man in a restaurant. He knows I'm watching him... keeps looking back at me like, "Yeah, I see you. I'ma eat these seeds, anyway."
Possums do have the sweetest faces. We had a tiny one a couple of years ago. I wanted to dress it up in doll clothes! (Didn't, of course. Not that it would have let me just pick it up.)

I think so too LoriNJ don't really understand why they are so disliked.
I walked onto the porch today and startled a hawk which had been perched on the fence. I didn't get a good look, so I don't know which kind. There was a cardinal there yesterday. The squirrels are getting pretty gutsy. They only run across the porch in the fall.
I saw several Monarchs at a local plant nursery today.
I also noticed dozens of bumblebees that were "sleeping" on a particular type of flower. I even noticed more flying in and landing on the flowers, then adopting the same posture as those "sleeping." I suppose they could also be males that are at the end of their lives, as the males don't overwinter.

Me too - and they are North America's only marsupial.
I did work with some baby possums at a wildlife center and they were adorable. They
slept in little hammocks and went to do their business in a small kitty litter pan filled with water
(they do it away from where they eat and sleep).

I have noticed more sleepy bees, too.
