I hate those bugs – especially when they crawl out of the peach pit from the peach that I just bit into! There are many earwigs around this year. My peach trees died several years ago - so I am not finding anymore earwigs in the fruit. This year I see the earwigs every time I move a board. They love hiding places
I be freaking out??? Its tail looks a bit scary.............
Yes, you should be freaking out. That bug isn't called "earwig" for nuthin'. They will climb into your ear while you sleep and use that spiked tail to dig a hole to lay their eggs. When the larvae emerge, they will tunnel through the soft tissue in your ear and into your brain to feast. The resulting dimentia is where they got the term "wig out", as in go crazy.

Of course I'm just pulling your leg
I thought they leap off your ear and dive under your wig like some Olympics of Bugdom.
Find the episode of Night Gallery by Rod Serling about earwigs. Very creepy.
These, though, might be silverfish if you find them around a moist environment.
