They are magnificent and to think we almost lost our (US) national emblem (DDT, loss of habitat
and hunting).

I have never seen a wild bald eagle. My son told me there are many where he lives so the
next weekend (without snow/ice) we'll drive the distance and hopefully we can see them
before they migrate.

Saw my first one since the early seventies here on Long Island. I was on the roof, and this monster of a bird flew over not ten feet from me. I near wet myself! Wow was that cool!
