I don't care if he is wrong! Usually most of us have had our fill of the cold weather by the second of February. I like to hear that winter is over. I always thought that we should try to intimidate the little bugger when he predicts six more weeks of winter. I even wanted our radio stations to counter with groundhog recipes when we had those dire predictions of more winter! Phil might think twice before opening his little jaw again!

Geez, sentenced to death without a trial or an attorney. This is America, even for groundhogs who misrepresent the truth.

I would like to propose that communities name a cow for the official summer weather predictions. If the cow messes up; we barbeque it.

Maybe he had such a hard winter, he just couldn't give us another 6 weeks of it in good conscience. Well, a groundhog conscience.

If he is on probation then he received a commutation of sentence.

A pardon would mean that he is a free groundhog - yet still be considered convicted of his capital crime of misinterpreting his shadow.
