The largest species of giant weta is the Little Barrier Island giant weta,[2] also known as the wetapunga. One example reported in 2011 weighed 71 g,[3] and a 72 g specimen has been recorded.[4]

Quote:
House mice have an adult body length (nose to base of tail) of 7.5–10 cm (3.0–3.9 in) and a tail length of 5–10 cm (2.0–3.9 in). The weight is typically 10–25 g (0.4–0.9 oz).
Ergo the LBIGW weighs roughly as much as 3 house mice. Although other rodents will alter the ratio; Dormice for instance
weigh, according to Wikipedia, between 15 and 180 g so between 5 and less than one. Whilst rats are much larger (again dependent on species) the Brown rat weighs on average 350 g for a male and 250 for a female, the black rat between 110 and 340 gr and the Polynesian rat often rather less than the Giant Weta.
