A couple from Montana were out riding on the range, he with his rifle and she (fortunately) with her camera. Their dogs always followed them, but on this occasion, a Mountain Lion decided that he wanted to stalk the dogs (you’ll see the dogs in the background watching). -

It would be if it were true, but the cat was dead before the mule attacked it.

Wow that is some ballsy mule. We had llamas that would attack anything they thought was a threat. There was a llama that lived up the hill from us that was brutally attacked by a black bear. The llama did get badly injured but finally scared the bear off. The llama recovered although had a deformed leg, but still wandered around the woods.

Real pictures of a mule attacking an already dead mountain lion. This has been circulating on the internet for quite some time and each time it resurfaces it comes with a new version of the same false story.
