I read the post, it immediately made me think of the 3rd bath in my house that I stopped using a while ago... The shower trap there must have been emptied (evaporation). Thanks...

I take care of a 35 bed drug and alcohol crisis center. Not uncommon to see them here, especially around floor drains.
If you have potted plants that are kept fairly wet they may be fungus gnats. Annoying but not harmful.
