WEST DUNDEE, Ill., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- An Illinois petting zoo said a peacock is recovering from a case of frozen feet after spending about 90 minutes on the loose in subzero temperatures.
Brian Mangiaracina, park and division manager for Randall Oaks who runs the Randall Oaks Barnyard Zoo in West Dundee, said a peacock by the name of Blue made a dash for freedom Tuesday and ended up on top of a pine tree near his heated pen, the (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reported Wednesday.
