I just saw this on the CNN newspage. It's horrible. I couldn't watch the video but instead just looked at the left side of the screen to get the information as to where to do something about it.

I also cannot watch the video or even any clips about this practice. The US should do what it can with our other allies
to stop this brutality and make it illegal (an international law) in Japan.

It certainly has been all over TV.. I personally think it is terrible. I do think that our Ambassador to Japan should not take such a high profile appearance on this. What a way to start her "job" there.

It devastated me last night when I saw the news and they broadcast the slaying of all these dolphins. I chocked up badly...what gives us humans the right to kill any animal for food or pleasure very sad

.
What is the difference in killing a Dolphin or any other fish to eat for food.

This has been going on from the beginning of time,
and I love the taste of fish if it is cooked right.

Dolphins are mammals and have live births.

They are also highly intelligent mammals that have a capacity for empathy and emotion.

Killing them is evil.

This question was asked in the video I posted. It was pointed out that livestock raised for slaughter for food is supposed to be raised and killed in a humane way overseen by rules and regulations. We know this is not always the case of course but it is what it is the goals for treating food animals are supposed to be.

In the case of the dolphins, they are being slaughtered cruelly. And they are not fish. They are mammals. How can you not know what you are eating?
