I was turkey hunting and had decoys set out in front of me,I was using a box call when an owl let out a big screech and came swooping down from behind me very close.I was in complete camo ,only thing I can figure is it wanted me out of his hunting zone.this happened during the last light of day.I also had a coyote come up behind me thinking I was a turkey I was yelping on a box call,he did an about face just a few feet away as I turned hearing the brush Russell .

There is a famous novelist from Durham , N.C. who has a murder conviction of his wife on appeal and will get a new trial based on the findings that an owl may have made his wife fall to her death and that he did not push her down some stairs. Apparently they found microscopic owl feathers in her hair which first autopsy did not find. He is home waiting for a new trial.

I got a talon (goshawk) in the arm when it bated as I was being passed it by a falconer (just above the glove). Holy pain. Yeah, good thing it missed his eye. Poor guy.
