But why wait so long. These beautiful animals suffer beyond measure when they asre captured and trained for circuses. hopefully other circuses around the world will follow.

I was so pleased when I read this. Now if they do away with all the animal acts, it will be an even better decision. Cirque Du Soleil uses no animal acts and puts on a fantastic show. Hopefully in the future animal acts will go the way of the human freak shows. They have no place in modern society.

"The Greatest Show on Earth" is a step closer to its own curtain call. The decision will be a domino effect for eliminating all animal acts from Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey. As it prepares to lose business, other circus will take advantage of their increased businesses.

The problem is the minority of circus animal trainers who harm animals., not the acts themselves. These individuals should not be working with animals period.

First the Big Top.
Then the Freaks.
Now the Animals.

This is obviously a Clown Conspiracy.

It appears the Clowns have already taken over---especially in D.C.

Ringling Bros has been pretty involved in breeding and conservation for African Elephants. I can't help but think that the activist's win is a loss for Elephants as a species.

Right. This was done due to misinformed public demand. The elephants lose.

Circus elephants are far better off than those in the wild these days.

Maybe now they'll finally outlaw pets. I mean, c'mon - those cats, dogs, and fish are at the mercy of their "owners" - they would be better-off in "the wild." Oh, the horror, THE HORROR!!!
