How sad that they fell trying to get across so quickly. We have a herd of this many go through our yard twice a day to and from farmer's field behind our house. Finally put up 7ft deer fence which saved what was left of my perennial gardens.

When I've tried to open the link a few times, it acts like I'm going to get the article and then goes to an ad. Shame the deer had to be pushed fast, I'd guess that why some fell from what you say. Otherwise, they seem to do fine crossing pavement.

Cool! But were the deer in fact being pushed? I thought the several fell from running so fast in fear.

I once witnessed the police stop traffic on a highway for a mother duck and ducklings to cross.
