I had the air conditioner on in my bedroom tonight while I wasnt in it, then when I returned, there was something that looked like shedded insect skin right on my comforter, and the skin has a line down the middle. I think it could be from a house centipede and Im terrified, so afraid that Im on the sofa instead of in the bed. It could be a dust ball but I highly doubt it considering the way its kind of crispy. I put it in an empty container.

I didnt see anything crawling around, but then again, I didnt strip the bed or stay in there for long, and the room is extremely small, so the closet, the drawers, everything is so close together, they all touch, so the bed takes up 90 percent of the room. If it is a centipede, then it could be anywhere.

What does their shedded skin look like?

why be terrified? they're harmless. plus they'll eat your other creepy crawlers.
the shed exoskeleton should be an exact replica of the real thing minus the innards.
