That is if people would want his services.
He might be doing 'free' dental work in the Zimbabway prison - time will tell.

At least there is a good side to this story. It looks like most big game hunts in Zimbabway are now halted. The dentist, that over charge us, are now going to have to go to another country or rely on big game farms for their kills. Cecil's sacrifice was not in vain. It brought global attention on this so called 'sport'.

It is not only predators but also their prey animals who are killed by people

People have amazing planet , there is no another. Appreciate the life which is basic for your your own existence. Instead nurturing it some people want to destroy it. I am an atheist but I believe their brains are taken over by a parasite which causes destroying their own specie.

Because unlike some people think, a human life is very depended on other species. People will die faster than cockroaches. With a capasity of human brain destroying own living habitat should be impossible. Therefore only explanation for such self-destroying behaviour is a parasite

What I don't understand why can't these hunters just tranquilize these animals, take a few photos, take a few clippings of their hair/whiskers and then set the animals free. And when they get home print out a life sized photo and hang it up in there house. And maybe in the near future even have a holographic depiction of the animal. Why go through all the trouble of killing an animal that you "respect" just to have its caracus rot on the savanna and I doubt they will be even be able to mount some these animals because they are just too large. Also by killing the healthiest and largest animals they are diminishing the health of the species and its been recorded how the african lion has shrunk in size over the decades because of these trophy hunters.

If all airlines would follow the lead of Delta by refusing to ship trophy heads, tusks and hides we might get a handle on this slaughter.

Which one? Pretty sure they both were. He was given a year's probation for the bear kill in Minnesota. Evidently he killed the bear, then dragged it to a place where it was an accepted kill.

What we know about Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer - StarTribune.com

"Palmer pleaded guilty to federal charges in 2008 related to the poaching of a black bear in Wisconsin two years earlier. Palmer and others transported the bear, which was killed 40 miles outside of a legal hunting zone, to a registration station inside the legal area. Palmer was sentenced to one year of probation and fined nearly $3,000."

The lion, who was a collared animal in a study, was killed after being lured out of his protected area. I've read in a couple of places that bow hunting in the area that Cecil was killed is illegal. (sorry, can't find the link)

He was also pretty familiar with big game trophy hunting in other countries. So he was not an ingenue by any means.

Lets not call this a guy a hunter - he's a collector. To compare this to hunting or him to your average hunter is just stupid.
