I always look forward to our fall hawk migration! It is one way to thin out the herd. I was cheering for the hawk - maybe another day?

Great video but the squirrel don't always get away. I've personally witnessed a hawk plucking an unsuspecting squirrel off a tree limb while sitting in my tree stand. I've also witnessed a pair of hawks working together to get a squirrel to flush from a tree that had too many branches for them to get to him. He survived because of his ability to keep his nerves in check and of course a little help from me as the hawks detected my presence and left the area. You gotta love nature!
