That's incredible!!
One of my brother's was struck by lightning, he didn't even realize or remember it. People around him saw it, helped him and called an ambulance. He was physically moved about 15-20 feet by the lightning ( ! ), he was on the sand and the few other people running from the storm helped him. He was very, very lucky he wasn't permanently physically injured, but the weird thing is, after that he became panicked easily and did not even associate it with having been struck by lightning.
It was a couple of years later when he connected it. He says it's something in him changed that day, and yet, he did not and still doesn't have any recall of being struck by the lightning.

Interesting. But if the car was dragging a wire or piece of metal of any kind, that would be all the lightning needed to go to ground.
