Earlier in the year it was another species monopolizing the feeder (Dark-eyed Junco), but now these guys are loving 'em. I thought they were Ruby Crowned Kinglets but I checked and they don't look quite the same as this guy does. I'd say he's about 50% bigger than a chickadee, and I snapped him from inside the sliding glass door.
Chipping Sparrows are one of my favorite!!! They enjoy the white millet all year round here and they will even gang up on a greedy Mourning Dove. Always know when they are around because of their sweet chipping sound. Want to get acquainted w/ birds and their song/voices check uut the Cornell University Bird site. The easiest and informative one I have found. Happy birding!!!!

Nice capture! The Juncos have now moved on from here.
