Thanks for sharing that. Very interesting and moving. People are amazing creatures, can be full of so much good and so much bad. She was a good one. Usually i like animals more than humans

It's taken me until now to respond to the news that my very first employer is dead. I had the good fortune to know this beautiful, lithe emotionally centered, somewhat unsure woman and her mom at horseman's park. She gave me my very first paying job.........$54.35 cents a week with room and board. We lived in the 150 year old hacienda in the valley between Mira Mar and Penisquitos, cold as the winter when the sun set and cold as death when it was time to feed 20 rent string. Cory, Lincoln and Witch were some of the fellow horses. And each with their own story and how they came to the dude ranch. Karen began her role afraid of all , mastering everything as time wore on.. She wore white cotton gloves everyday, to protect her hands, we all snickered.. I did not know how much she meant to me u til I read these articles. I hope she did not die alone.
