Chickens eat ants..? New one for me. Now the black bears visit here frequently and love the red ants...but didn't get here in time before I killed them dead

Chickens eat everything. But they will not however eliminate an ant nest. Sure, they'll scarf up drones on the surface, which will PO the ants and prompt a soldier response in the form of swarming, which initially wont bother the chickens much, but they will need to get off the ground eventually or the ants WILL win.

I think chickens are weird...you never know what they are going to do, movements seem erratic.

...actually a bit scared of them. Not snakes, spiders etc., but chickens LOL....AND alligators.

That's a good thread idea, will try it out on cd posters.
