Does any bovine other than Muskie employ the circle defense? I know, e.g., that the North American bison doesn't, opting instead to run -- with usually one of the children, elderly, or sick -- dropping out and becoming prey to the wolfpack, or else holding their ground but in a haphazard, disorganized formation, allowing the pack to scope out and focus on a weak link.
