I see squirrels, rabbits, opossums, armadillos, little turtles, and the most interesting so far...gators.

I'm lucky enough to live in an area where owning a car isn't necessary, but I notice that the foxes tend to get hit by trains a lot.

It always hurts me to see roadkill, especially since nature was there before the car

A few years ago I was driving my son home from school. Suddenly a possum was running straight across the street toward my car. I felt the thumpetty thump of my tires going over him. My son said "dad, you killed him".
I said to my son "you saw him run toward the car. I guess he couldn't take it any more".

#1 Squirrels, they cant decide which side they want to be on.
#2 Cows, they get half way and cant decide if they want to continue.
#3 Guineas, they don't really cross they just run out in front of you and pretend they are pace cars

Deer come in bunches. And they just stand there staring at you.

I have heard that Armadillos jump straight up when startled. Not good when a car is coming at you.

I-5 in California near Westley has some rattlesnakes that can't seem to make it across the freeway. I actually had fang marks on my front license plate where one tried to bite my truck before it got plowed.
