Squirrels by far because they start crossing in one direction then get scared and try to turn back...and they are cute! Next most common are possums and sometimes skunks but skunks are much more often rural than in town.
Skunks, raccoons, squirrels, beaver, groundhogs, opossum, and turtles. The worst turtles are snapping turtles; I think they assume (if a turtle CAN assume) that since they're mostly invincible in their natural habitat, that it's the same pretty much everywhere else. Not true, unfortunately.
armadillos .. i`ve never seen a live one yet every street in north BAMA has one on the side of the road on its back with all 4 feet in the air ...have`nt seen a rabbit in years dead or alive ...
