That raccoon was a young female, so I wonder if she was looking for a place to make a future nesting site ..... or maybe she was hunting for pigeons. LOL. I'm glad she was rescued and relocated.

I think she was hanging around the building and when someone tried to catch her/run her off with some kind of net thing on a pole she decided to climb upwards to get away.

"crazy racoon" is redundant.
the ones I have seen in the wild were all crazy.
"pet" racoons are even crazier!
