True story: between games of a double header, our conversation somehow got around to raccoons & garbage. Dangerous Ray, our left fielder (good ballplayer, really nice guy, but not the sharpest pencil in the box) piped in "Oh, yea! The raccoons in our neighborhood were driving us crazy getting into the garbage cans when we put them down on the street for pick-up. We tried everything. We even tried changing garbage days...but somehow they found out!

The Coons have never bothered our garbage.

Probably because we have a sign on the can that says :

"Garbage - Do not Eat"

Evidently the Bears can't read.

They think the garbage can is a big Picnic Basket.

I prefer doing my yard work inthe middle of the night so I’m with the nocturnal animals all the way.

Unfortunately, Ivebeen admonished to do my yard work at a more reasonable hour by people who walk their dogs at all hours. Their dogs bark at me when I’m in my yard.
