🐪 How do they act when people are around them? Do they actually spit like some have claimed?

Only at zoos and circuses.

When I did see them, they didn't spit. At least not from what I've seen. Now Llamas... THAT'S a different story! Lol

I saw them in the UAE at a camel market. Didn’t notice any spitting.

As a child I rode a few. As an adult I petted even more. Never been spit on. They spit when they are Scared... so I am told.

They had a two camels at our agricultural fair last year (the oldest and longest running agricultural fair in the country.) The younger camel was cuter, but you could get a ride on the older one (I didn't). Neither spit.
