Thanks for that tidbit. I have a parakeet and her seed keeps getting the moths even though I have the seed in a sealed container. Now we have these stupid moths all in the house. I think I brought them in when I bought bulk seed from a garden/farm center.

if they're indian meal moths, look out. i had some show up in bird seed years ago and still haven't completely eliminated them.

I worked part time for TSC for a couple of years. You’d be amazed at how much birdseed on the store shelves had moths in it. Seems like the safflower seed was the worst.

If you have a handful of the moth laden seeds, stick them in the microwave and zap them for 30 seconds, check and see if any are moving.
