Since I moved in my new apartment(first apartment) I have not seen one squirrel. I miss them, they use to be my buds when I was living with my folks. I would buy them those cracked peanuts and puppy chow you get from petsmart. Then whistle to them when I was coming out to feed them. They would gather all around. I hate these apartments, I wonder where all the squirrels are at. Hell If I was a squirrel I wouldn't live here either. Take me to where the birds and squirrels are God!

On Everybody loves Raymond. Marie accuses Frank of running over a squirrel crossing the road, Franks said " He doubled back, he wanted to die! ".

I saw two the other day sitting behind each other on the fence. Same pose and looking in at me through the window. I think they love to taunt us humans. I love squirrels. They are big jokesters it seems.

Squirrels are bright and they also are nimble, have great balance, are athletic... so they are good problem-solvers in the squirrel vs feeder challenge.

I feed black oil sunflower seeds through a cylindrical feeder that has a circular perch at the bottom that is hung on a spring - someone too heavy that alights on the perch, pulls the perch down and the feeder openings are then cut off. It actually works pretty well, and the birds feeding still scatter enough seed that the squirrel gets his by picking through the discards underneath the feeder.

I bought it a couple of years ago, but think it's one of these...
