Utah. Zion National is gorgeous!
New Mexico. Love the high desert and the Sandia mountains.

My 2-week July cruise to Alaska got C-19'd We'll do it in 2021, but maybe a land trip instead of a cruise.

I've been to, or through, every other state, lived in 6 of them. but I was too young to remember some of them.

We Honeymooned in Hawaii..Maui & Kauai. We liked Kauai better. Until I see Alaska, Hawaii is my #1

Florida is #2

Alaska and Wyoming. So different from each other, but yet both beautiful in their own ways.
-----------------------------------
For the Canadian provinces: British Columbia first, then Prince Edward Island.

Wyoming easily.

Here's a photo I took on a crappy flip phone with terrible graphics: https://www.city-data.com/forum/37972137-post651.html

I've never been to Alaska, Washington, or Montana but those states might have some chance at defeating WY.

As a whole, Maine for me.

Though I really loved parts of California when I lived there.

I like flat land. I don’t mind mountains if they’re from a distance, seeing them off on the horizon. I just don’t like being in the middle of them, I feel claustrophobic. So the places I find beautiful are flat and open areas. I love the US east coast, from Maryland to Florida. Something about it is soothing for me. Texas was very nice. New Mexico, and Arizona were breathtakingly gorgeous. Surprisingly, I found the Grand Canyon underwhelming. But I was 17 at the time, I’d like to go back and see it with adult eyes.

My dream is Hawaii, I hope when I finally go it’s not disappointing. It’s got a lot to live up to.

Most beautiful? ....... That's like asking me to judge a Miss America pageant. I love them all.

If I had to pick an area - the Southwest. New Mexico, Arizona to Nevada. There is something about the desert. And Grand Canyon. And Meteor Crater. But that Nevada desert.... my, my.
I was a trucker. And I could never understand why people were inside their houses in New Mexico. I wanted to bang on their doors and yell, "Look! Can you believe this? Why are you still inside?"
I traveled the US in my sales career. It ended before I was ready so I drove a truck 750,000 miles.
Yeah. It's beautiful.
Agree with you, I love the Southwest. It's so unique, truly like no other place on Earth. I find the majority of the rest of the country kinda looks the same (with exceptions, obviously). Not that the rest of the country isn't beautiful too, but the Southwest really stands out.

The Delicate Arch is the most incredible thing I've ever seen. I liked it much more than the Grand Canyon even. Also Zion is great as well. I guess if I'm picking one state, it'd have to be Utah.

For me, it's California-for its diversity.

Yosemite, Redwoods, Lake Tahoe, Ocean, Russian River, vineyards, Sierra mountains, coastal Route 1, Death Valley. This one state has so much...

Shame I can’t claim it as a visit.

On #33, the most beautiful place we've seen is the remote island of Kauai. I got the name of the island mixed up.
