I'm in Tucson and fires have been raging in our Catalina Mountains for a week now and my heart goes out to the displaced/homeless wild animals, wondering what becomes of them?
They move out of the path of the fire & forage as normal. Unfortunately, any babies who cannot be moved do not survive. The deer have returned to Paradise. Fires have always been a part of the American West, so I think they have survived for thousands of years.
