I last saw a beautiful german shepard when I was out riding earlier today....... Her coat was filled with tan and black colours and she just looked adorable (She was out for a walk)
EDIT:
Sorry for this thread.... I see another thread "Tell us your nature observations" that I could have added a reply to instead of starting this...... I should have checked more closely first
My woodsy back deck up in the trees is an airport for many different species of birds landing and taking off this time of year. Right now I see blue jays, sparrows, finches, and a squirrel out there at the feeding stations.

Just heard Western Wood-pewee and Say’s Phoebe and either Mourning Dove or Eurasian Collared Dove (we have both here, and I think there is a mixed couple that may have mated).
Went to put Joey [mini assie] outside there not more than a foot off the patio was a DOE! I had to hold onto Joey so her rope would not trip the Doe... who was busy playing kisses with Joey No cell No Camera when you need it

We have two young cottontails that live in our yard, and we see them every day. We also see squirrels, and birds such as Oregon Junkos, Crows, and hummingbirds every day.
Squirrels and bunnies every day and it seems the wrens decided to move into the flower pot. Four young deer with a cute spotted baby deer yesterday. Not sure what my dog saw last night but he broke the 10-foot lead we used to tie him up. He's been extra hyper since the day the coyote walked by.
We see rabbits, quail, doves, hummingbirds, and lizards every day.
less often, we see chipmunks and ground squirrels, roadrunner, cactus wren, and woodpecker.
Not surprisingly, we often see hawks, too.
In the evening, the owls hoot up the hill.
Occasionally we see snakes, mostly diamondback rattlers (ugh), and I saw a bobcat one morning.
We used to see coyotes fairly often, but lately only hear them in the distance.
The desert is surprisingly full of life!
