So I was outside, and noticed a cricket floundering in a small pitcher of water. I'll save critters when I can, so I poured the water out, thinking the cricket would come out with the water...but it didn't. It was clinging to the side of the pitcher.
So I gently encouraged it out of the pitcher, and it hopped once, hopped twice, and landed in our little fish pond, where one of the gold fish came up and ate it. :-(
I guess that little cricket just wasn't meant to live another day. lol
