Daisy Hikes is uploading more videos, at least for now. Thinking about it more, I wonder if maybe medical issues might have forced her to quit another hike. I guess we will find out if the videos continue. She is off to a pretty bad start to her Florida hike. It seems that she is taking a zero day every other day, and that has to be costing her a lot of money in the Florida Keys.

I was looking forward to the north bound Florida Trail hike as well as the other hikes she had planned for this year. She's a strong-minded lady; so I don't think foot blisters would take her off the trail. Hope all is well with her and her family.

I don't know. Hiking in the Florida Keys takes its toll on the best hikers. 113 miles of road walking on bridges over the ocean, with non-stop traffic whizzing by just a few feet away is not easy, physically or mentally.
The second problem is cost. If you look up the online prices at that first motel/hostel she stayed at, the prices start at $218 a night for that bunk she had. After her bad experience there, she started renting private rooms which are even more expensive. In her last video she was at the point where she couldn't go on. That doesn't seem to be a place where she can wait it out until she recovers. I wouldn't be surprised if she had to call it quits in Marathon.
Personally the Florida Keys is not a place I would choose to backpack, even if I had the ability to do so.
Stella Hikes has started uploading her Wonderland Trail hike from last year. ]
This hiker seems interesting. I'll check out her videos. When I saw "fell" in her subject line, I said "yep, I can relate".
This past summer, I summitted a 2,000 ft mountain on the east coast. That's not much to avid mountain hikers but due to my tight schedule with a short window of time and daylight hours for the r/t hike, this mountain was my best option especially since I was hiking alone. On the hike down the mountain, I fell face down. I was bruised up and a little bloody, but had no broken bones. It was the first major fall I've ever had while hiking (flat terrain or mountainous) and I've been hiking for 15+ yrs.
Of the YT hikers that I've followed over the last 2-3 yrs, most of them I was introduced to through this thread. I believe that many of the suggestions were from you, Cloudy Dayz. Thanks!

Yeah, hiking videos can get addicting. That's pretty much the main thing I watch on YouTube these days.
Stella Hikes rocks. She just started the AT, so it's a good time to start watching her.
Hiking injuries. I guess I was pretty lucky in my hiking days. I fell a lot of times, but I never really got hurt. I was always ready for the falls. But my hiking style was mostly to go slow and easy. My goal was to enjoy the hike, not to set any speed records. I wish some of these YouTubers would practice that. I guess on a thru hike you have to crunch a lot of miles to finish. But that's hard to do if you get injured.
Constantine of Hiking America got into some drama with a New Zealand YouTuber, who is criticizing their hiking style. The guy makes some good points calling them out on their decisions to save time by road walking instead of hiking on the trails. I do wish they would take their time and stay on the trail, but Hiking America is still one of the best hiking channels on YouTube.
