I saw a guy get moose stomped in Alaska. Some other people scared the moose away before he did too much damage, but he got stomped pretty good.

When I lived in Colorado we were hunting Elk and the moose were new and protected. We had this young bull that wanted to fight and wouldn't leave us alone. We were literally hitting it in the face with our bows. We had to chuck rocks in it's face to get it to leave us alone.

Moose lick their lips as a threat when they're in fighting / attack mode. It's a sure sign to get away fast if one of them confronts you and licks its lips at you. In the following YT of a couple of moose confronting each other you can see the way they lick their lips at each other.
