Tremors baffle scientists? Yellowstone is a volcanic cauldron. . . a "supervolcano". Scientists have long known that seismic activity occurs regularly there. Because the tremors of the last few days are exhibiting an unusual pattern does not mean that the scientists are baffled! It means that they are aware that unusual activity is taking place, and that they don't know what will happen next, if anything.

Default Hopefully, it will calm down.

Hopefully, it will calm down.

If it blows, we don't have to worry about a financial crisis or Iran.

That might be a good thing. People can stop getting ulcers over losing money and they'll stop complaining about the war.

This can't be good for business! If that thing totally blows, I've read we could be killed by it here in Denver.

Or for much of anything, INCLUDING CROPS, staying alive about as far east as Chicago!

Small statistical odds of it happening in my lifetime though! So I try not to worry about it, but I don't ski at Jackson Hole any more, just in case.

It'll destroy over half the country if it blows up. I should be safe though. But I think it's more likely to have a major earthquake on the New Madrid fault again, which would similarly destroy much of the country and possibly kill millions.
