This is a kinda cool story about how researchers from australia and germany jointly did experiments with bees to see if they could count and they discovered that they can count up to four which they said is remarkable for an insect.

Can you imagine a hive full of bees trying to take a census...and only being able to count to four? (I didn't mean to sound sarcastic; the notion occurred to me all of a sudden, and I thought it was funny).

Didn't King Arthur have the same problem in "Holy Grail?"
King Arthur: One, two, five!
Sir Galahad: Three sir!

Could Arthur have been a bee?

Only being able to count to four could be a survival adaptation. Potential predators would torture a bee to find out how many bees were in the hive and the bee would answer "I don't know, maybe four?"

There could be a relationship to golfers as well. What do they yell before hitting a ball? Isn't a par of more than four considered extremely tough? Don't they make a beeline for the nineteenth hole?

Only being able to count to 4 is the only reason I've ever shot a 72...
