Any one else have donkeys? I have 2 and they are the funniest, most loveable creatures. They keep my old horse company and my friends and family entertained. And so easy to care for! Mine are small standards, but I would love to have a riding-size mule someday.

I don't have any, but listened to a few clients today that were talking about a sale they'd been to in Salmon, ID and was shocked when they said some were going for $2,000!

I love donkeys--never met one I didn't like.
A poster here, I think it is Celtic Lady, owns an adorable miniature horse.

Yep. I own a rare Perlino mule. It's like a Creamello only with Azure blue eyes, pink skin & a butterscotch mane & tail. She stands 14 hands and will be broke to ride by age three. Her name is LaRue. I also own a sorrel QH, racked Saddle Bred Paint, Sorrel QH/ Arabian. Actually will selling them if I move again. Buggered trying to haul horses in a move and find land!

Hey Coyote,

I haven't heard the phrase "racked" before, in relation to Saddlebreds. I'm not sure if that's the same as racking. Is he 5 gaited?

The paints are really nice looking. Any pics?

Yes, racked is just our sloppy slang for a racking horse. Yes, he's five gaited... has the cradle hips and all. We had him trained by an Amish friend who specializes in them. Horses name is Niache'. He's 8 now. Gelding.
I tried posting a picture but it said the browser was unavailable try later. hmfffff
