I will have my 4 year degree in MIS/CIT/IT(different schools call it different things) with a focus on networking about a year from now.I have 2 years in a help desk/desktop support role.I have an A++ and MCP cert right now and will get others next year.I love computers and technology.I don't even own a TV.I can also repair small car problems. I am 22 with single with no children.I play piano guitar and work out.My 2nd language is spanish; I'm not fluent but I can hold a conversation and communicate. All these things were self-taught. I am mulatto to be specific.

I living in Houston Texas for 20 years and I have been living in MA for the past 2 years.I want to head out west when I'm done with my degree and Nebraska is looking really good right now.MA is too cold crowed and since I'm young I don't want to just head back to Houston.

So would this be a good fit for someone of my profile?
I am trying to find some where with there are low amounts of minorities and low % of persons with bachelors degrees.

Tnx in advanced.

While Nebraska is a great place to raise a family it is not always the best place to earn money.

Of course the cost of living is lower, but I think you could make more money in a bigger city.

Not too concerned with money.I took a look at the IT jobs posted and they were all in the salary range I was looking.I'm only interested in 42k starting salary.

Try posting in the Omaha forum and be specific with what interests you have so you can get more detailed answers. Do you have a job lined up or are you just throwing caution to the wind? I think that you would fit in just fine, but the winters may be a problem.

Omaha forums are busy and you'll be more likely to get a response there.
My husband is getting his degree in computer engineering. While in Lincoln the competition is pretty stiff (Alot of college students not TOO many jobs) Omaha has tons of jobs that are right up your alley.
This website :Nebraska Department of Labor has quite a few jobs listed.

Good luck!

I will do this.No job lined up.Was thinking of just moving there when I'm done with school.I really want to live in the west.I would bring about plenty of money to live off of.
