We are getting ready to move to the Omaha area. I've never been to Nebraska, in fact I've always grown up in large cities in very busy states. I just wanted to know what towns are best to live in, and what schools are liked best. I have two toddler kids that will be starting school in less than a year and want to be prepared. We aren't sure yet whether or not we want to buy or rent a house, but a nice quiet and stable town is preferable. We'd also like to live in a place that has a higher number of military folks too.
Anyway, any advice is welcome and I thank you in advance for you help.

I moved there and love it.
City of Papillion, NE

Has a very nice mix of military and civilian. Both worlds blend nicely.
You get the feel of a stable town with history but it accepts and respects the military as part of it.
Schools do a great job with the military as well. Our's had an active program with the Base.
