HI -

For those of you who know Chadron: Do most students live on campus or do they rent apartments or homes around town? Are there any neighborhoods that are especially full of students? Any neighborhoods that are mostly rentals? What is the quietest part of town? Are the mobile homes in Westview Estate o.k.?

Freshman live on campus as well as a lot of sophomores. Most upper classmen live off campus, though.

The trailer courts are all primarily rentals. And Westview seems to be the quietest one of the bunch...
I lived there my junior year (a few years back) in a tiny little 10x40.

Hopefully I am not too late to help. I lived in Chadron for from 1999 to 2009, until I realized I had to leave to literally save my education (Yes, I am very outspoken in my disdain for CSC and do not suggest it to anyone). I lived east of the high school on what was considered "Snob Hill." It was quiet, except for Friday nights during high school football season. I don't remember there being any student rentals in that area. In my opinion, the quietest neighborhood was northern Kenwood and there were a couple really nice rentals there. In general, there are rentals all over town, many not too good. It always seems like a few slum lords vie for control of the market. I can say Westview definitely beats out Regency and Pony Park.
