Chimney Rock

Hopefully we can add to these, I know I have a lot more, need to get them scanned and hosted.

Maybe a mod will sticky this so it stays at the top?
These are gorgeous!! Yet, I'd like to comically bet....not near Omaha, right?

400+ miles west... Omaha is on Iowa border on the eastern side of state and Chimney Rock is almost to the Wyoming border on the western side of the state.

I think you will win this bet hands down. The seperate Omaha forum has some very nice pics of the city side of Nebraska, just thought it would be nice to show some more of our state.

Hopefully others have some outstate scenery to share as well.

Thank you for it too... I live in the Omaha Metro area and like your pictures much better - makes me miss not visiting that end of the state lately...

The pictures of Western Nebraska are neat to look at. The scenery is more genuine along I-80 once one gets past the I-76 exit in my honest opinion.

Personally, I'm a Sandhills girl. The middle is the best.

I strongly recommend (if you have the time) to get off I-80 when traveling across Nebraska, several highways parallel the interstate and they get you out of that platte river valley bottom....

If you're looking for more nice areas to photograph, there are some awesome places in the panhandle south of the interstate heading towards CO. Once you hit Sidney it'll start getting bluffy (not a word, but you get it). Lots of white-rock canyons, valleys, etc.
