The problem that I can see with MattDen is that he seems to be fixed on making lots of money, which is great and I hope that he finds it. Plus that would be nice for everyone to be able to make the same amount of money as everybody else, then we would not have all of this cross fighting about which area makes more money or who has the largest crime rate or which area is growing faster statical data BS. The big problem with this idea is that other countries tried that and they have changed or are chnaging now. We once called these countries by a name known to us all as Communist or Socialist Countries. I work with many who once lived under this culture and now they are beginning to live our way of culture known as Captialism and they are loving it.

For me money can buy you anything that you want from very expensive cars, big houses, but my parents and grand parents always told me that money is not always the best thing to have. Money can not buy you true love of someone, it can't buy you happiness in life. I may not be the richest man in Nebraska in terms of money, but I can tell you that I am the richest man in the world along with millions of others, because I have the love of another and I am happy with my life. Someday I hope that MattDen finds everything in life that he wants, but MattDen remember this when we all die it is not how much money you make, it will be how much you did for others is how you will be judged, if you believe in God, Budda, or Allah if you believe that there is a God of some kind. You can't take your money and other rich toys with you when it is your turn to die, they can't dig a big enough hole.

Kosnebbear, I agree with your statement completely... I feel the same way about it, the reason I was making these posts was because I felt that someone was trying to do what they can to twist information around to intentionally misrepresent a city in a negative manner about a city that I really like..

Please keep defending Omaha, because even though I don't live there I also don't like anyone speaking bad about one place. I only want to tell people about what I personally feel and know about a place. Check out my post back to Listen To Me and you will see what I feel. Take care and maybe someday we might cross paths in Omaha. I will be the "Redneck Looking Chap" who will be shopping at Wal-Mart for old Christmas decorations so that I can put them up all over Omaha for WARNYOU so that she will have something to do with her time.

This Christmas decoration flap cracks me up. One year, we were back in my hometown near Pittsburgh in March. Some people not only had their Christmas decorations up, they were still lighting them! My husband, Omaha native, thougt this was further evidence of "Appalachia". This winter, here in metro Denver, some people had their decor up for a long time because of the continuous snow cover and the cold. I thought it was hilarious. Sometimes there are just priorities.

Default I am normally

very easy to get along with, and a really friendly person...
I guess since I was young I always seem to jump on things that I felt
was a misrepresentation or a deliberate lie... I guess that in itself makes me
less thoughtfull of other people's ideas... and for that I apologize to Pittnurse, Mattden and Warnyou... I will try to see more humor, and not take things so seriously, but I will post links if I see data, that is believed to be misreprepping, whether intentional or not, I do not know, nor will I care if I claim to be the nice person that I say that I am, I would understand if someone has a sour taste about something... And I guess that shows how wrong I am, I should never assume... I will try harder not to be an a## about something that I assume, sorry all...

PS... With my communication breakdowns... those are common coming from statistic and city loving, Husker loving nerds like me :-)

Many houses in New Hampshire have Chirstmas decorations up the entire year. I have seen this in many areas of that state. I think one reason for having the lights on for long periods of time is that the daylight hours tend to be quite short in some areas of the Northeast during winter, especially in the mountainous areas.

I don't think I have ever hear Pittnurse bashing Nebraska. Actually, most everything I read is quite the opposite.
