Rumor has it that The Huskers will play Clemson in the Gator Bowl.

I found this out because one of our new friends called us (knowing that we came here from SC, and that I have Clemson paraphrenalia). He informed us (very deadpan) that it would not behoove us to fly a Clemson flag from our pole!!!

"Y'know, we take our football very seriously here...."

LOL

Anyone know where I can get an "N" flag?

Not a rumor... the NU athletic department is already selling Gator Bowl tickets.

There simply has been no official announcement due to Big 12 requirements (cannot be made until after Big 12 title game).

Exactly, every college football Saturday, I fly my Razorback flag and my wife forces me to put out her LSU flag also. No one has burned my house down yet.

Well, there isn't a railroad in town anymore if memory serves me correct. So they can't run you out on a rail like in the old days. I suggest you fly the Clemson flag, only upside down as a signal of distress knowing that Nebraska is going to thump some tail!!

Hee hee. I've never been much on college football, we're more NFL (He's Raiders, I'm Panthers - please hold the catcalls until later). But the last time I was in a different state attending THEIR college games, was the year that OSU coach Woody Hayes slugged the Clemson player! While I don't think the Huskers are that rude or unprofessional, still... it's a tough spot to be in!

Somehow I think I might be in for a little grief if I wore my Clemson shirt to the Husker Hub for the Bowl game... It could prove to be quite embarrassing!!!!

Go Huskers?!?

I can see it now, SCGranny is at the Husker Hub wearing her brand new Husker's apparal, its mid way through the 2 quarter, Nebraska leads by 10. Clemson scores on a long pass, she jumps up and cheers, the room goes silent.... SCGranny is never heard from again....

Now, to this bowl thing, I can't believe how many colleges are playing this year. I said to hubby, earlier today, what colleges are not in bowl games? Between us, we could name about 10....
